Есть такие пиздецки сложные картинки, которые неделями живут в голове и никуда не деваются, даже если точно понимать, что нарисовать ты это не сможешь в ближайшие несколько лет. Я могу до бесконечности насиловать эту картинку, но нравится больше она мне не начнёт. Ракурс кошмарный, но по-другому я никак не смогла её увидеть. Пусть полежит в таком виде, быть может, потом я смогу её как-то исправить.

Gale and Randy stuck together practically the whole time. No words for how cute they are. They were always smiling and talking and joking around. Randy said something really funny at one point and Gale just DIED. He was cracking up. It was adorable. Randy kept stroking Gale’s arm and fiddling with his jacket and I saw him touch his face a couple times.

The cutest thing was when Gale was looking at his cell phone. He was very enthralled by it. He called Randy over and they huddled very close together, looking at something on Gale’s phone and laughing. I bet you five million dollars that Gale has a camera phone and they were looking at pics. Gale likes picspam! Oh am gee, I was dying.

Однако, глядя на него в роли Брайана и на некоторые его фотосессии, можно сделать другие выводы о его ориентации. Но много информации, что при промоутах ДВД после каждого сезона и просто, встречаясь с Рэнди, они всегда целуются с открытым ртом и языками. Специально для Air kiss , пропустившей из-за оборванного кабеля самое значительное событие фанатской жизни последних лет.

Все мы с нетерпением ожидали начала Young Playwrights Festival, где в первую неделю выступает Гейл, во вторую Скотт, а в последнюю Тея. Об этом я узнала из твиттера Скотта, где он попенял, что время выступлений у них разное и на фесте они не встретятся, но всё равно обязательно увидятся. На что фанаты попросили держать их в курсе.
Мы тут, конечно, ждём сообщений от фанатов, которые пойдут за Гейлом на край света, если свет этот недалеко от дома. И вот, появляется первый репортаж девочки, которая трясущимися от счастья руками натыкала сообщение о том,

Все были поражены пришествием Ренди и разрывались от недостатка информации, но наш Лучший друг Скотт через день, выступая на радио у Шины сказал, что они все были у него на барбекю (есть у меня ссылочка на запись, где на 28 минуте Скот произносит имена Гейла и Ренди

zeppoman, В пабе, в апреле 2011 года, была встреча, описанная фанаткой Рендольфа и Гейла. Гейл после футбольного матча пришёл в паб с лысым другом, громко смеялся над выступлением Ренди, кто то из фанаток даже расслышал смех Гейла в этой записи. Поссле выступления Харрисон вышел в зал, чего никогда не делал, и не присел за столик к позвавшим его друзьям, а просто с пола (что ли) следил за выступлением Бриджет Эверет. После шоу Гейл бросился за кулисы, поцеловать Бриджет, и поздороваться с Рендольфом. Ещё сказал, что любит Ренди, но добавил, что это шутка.

Я читала интервью, но вот найти их вряд ли сейчас смогу, ибо читала их лет 5 назад %))

Брайки - это все-таки из области совсем фантастики, уже в первом сезоне, действительно же уже стало понятно все.

Ну так нам было понятно, а Коулипу - не очень ) Мне кажется, они себя видели в Брайане и Майкле, они даже внешне чем-то похожи на Брайана и Майкла в возрасте %)) А то, что между Хэлом и Гейлом нет никакой "химии" и им некомфортно друг с другом, их мало волновало. И что у Брайана и Майкла нездоровые отношения. Что касается Джастина, я думаю, Коулип даже и не планировали развивать персонаж Рэнди. Его меняли как им было угодно, лишь бы снять какую-то свою историю.

меня очень удивляет, что в конце в Вавилоне мы типа должны были увидеть счастливого Брайана. Счастливого?

Шон в этом интервью сказал, что не только Рэнди был недоволен своим персонажем в 4-5 сезоне, но и (возможно) Гейл. Они - актеры, им могут режиссеры, продюсеры сказать "изобрази то-то и то-то", а они изобразят то, что они считают правильным. Гейлу наверное сказали "Изобрази Щястье", а Гейл изобразил и прочувствовал то, что Брайан на самом деле должен был чувствовать, когда любимого человека рядом нет, сына забрали, близкая подруга тоже уехала...Или же Рэнди, например, в сцене когда Джастин говорит точь-в-точь те слова, что Рэнди говорил в интервью, Рэнди сыграл так, как посчитал нужным. Сколько сарказма было в голосе Рэнди, когда он сказал "He gave me everything". Было б грустно, если б не было так смешно

есть люди, кто и вторую половину третьего считают абсурдной уже, а я и четвертый люблю, только пятый - нет. (хотя и не жалею конечно, что его сняли)

Они считают ее абсурдной, потому что два человека не могут сами свергнуть злого политика..А мне все равно понравилось
Помню зловещую фразу "Orange is the new blue", в 3x14 эпизоде каждый персонаж получил свой цвет: БиДжи - голубой, а Майкл и Бен - оранжевый... Да и Вавилон в 5х13 серии декорирован оранжевыми и голубыми панелями...последняя сцена - Брайан и Майкл...Ох уж этот символизм..
Мне кажется 4-й сезон мог стать очень замечательным, если бы истории с дружиной не было, и история с раком по-другому была рассказана...Брайан в серебряных трусах конечно эпичен, но мне хватило его стенаний по поводу того, что он стареет и становится Виком, причем все это еще было преподнесено в "комедийном" жанре. Да и еще эту историю с велосипедным заездом растянули донельзя...Хотелось больше драмы, больше взаимодействия БиДжи во время болезни, как-то "недотянули" по эмоциям, и порой было скучновато...хотя наверное я слишком многого прошу 5 сезон - это вообще поле непаханное для психанализа...Но ради сцен из 5х10/5х11/5х12 стило смотреть Коулип тогда настолько зациклились на политике, что забыли об искусстве...

Ну, ничего нового я наверное не скажу. Но фраза Шорса “Randy Harrison (Justin Taylor) was an ungrateful little shit. He trashed the show’s writing all the time in the media,” Shores said. “I don’t know where he is today… but I know he’s not working.” меня поразила до глубины души. Я не знала то ли смеяться, то ли плакать...:| А потом еще и фраза меня возмутила: "Well, since I’m talking to The Advocate, which is where Randy Harrison trashed the writing of Queer as Folk, the show that made him successful" - Не шоу сделало Рэнди успешным, Рэнди сделал шоу успешным совместно с другими актерами. Я, например, пересматриваю сериал ради актеров и их персонажей, а истории, если честно, в Каф слабоваты...Продолжаем цитировать "славного малого": “After I went after [Queer as Folk star Randy Harrison], I started getting hate mail from his fans — both of them,” he says with a wink. . Зависть - плохое чувство...When "Chrissy" tells Shores that Harrison is no longer working in TV "because of writers like him," but instead is "working with authors like William Shakespeare, Ibsen, Beckett" and others, he responds, "he is not working with" those authors "because they’re dead. And if they were alive, they would not be working with Randy Harrison." И эти люди создавали QaF.

И все эти "совпадения" с Саймоном, интервью и прочее, не характеризуют Коулип с лучшей стороны. Неудивительно, что Рэнди хотел, чтоб все поскорей закончилось. Коулип успехом сериала во многом обязаны именно Гейлу и Рэнди. Однако, несмотря на то, что Гейл, по словам некоторых, тоже был недоволен историей, никто не посмел как-то его задеть/поддеть, потому что знали, что Гейл запросто может уйти(хотя он по поводу сериала старался в интервью ничего плохого не говорить), а вот Рэнди они недооценивали...Кроме того, мне кажется, отсутствие Рэнди и Гейла на воссоединении в 2007 году не было случайным...
Помню смотрела видео с Парижского кона по QaF 2010 и Рэнди заставили смотреть сцену из 4х05 эпизода с Хоббсом, у него был очень подавленный вид после этого и он все головой качал, видно, что ему до сих пор противно вспоминать об этой истории...

Richard: Okay, so were you happy with the way it all played out? Were you happy with the way it all ended? *laughter*

Unidentified Attendee: Your answer is a matter of life and death.

Brit: You’re kind of taking your life in your own hands.

Shawn: I certainly understand, I feel good about where it ended I felt that it was a mature ending. It felt right when you’re dealing with first love With Justin and Brian, they were both each other’s first love and as fabulous and enthralling as a first love is it’s also not always the most mature kind of love it’s also not the most nourishing kind of love that you can get from a relationship, it can’t clarify… what love should be and all that kind of stuff. It felt right to me that they left on a parting note yet still acknowledging that they will always love each other because when I think about my first love I still love him I haven’t spoken with him in over 4 years we lost touch but there’s a special place in my heart that is his and my current husband knows that and accepts that. And so…

Richard: Current husband? How many have you had? *laughter* We have Elizabeth Taylor up here.

Shawn: Um yeah so anyway what I’m saying is that they were each other’s first love they had a fabulous love and they will always love each other, but that does not necessarily mean that they will be together and that makes perfect sense to me. I know it doesn’t make for great series finale and fireworks but it made sense to me.

Richard: You came to the very first con and then you left and went back to the real world did you take back ideas and stuff like that. How did that con, umm did that play a role into anything that you participated in with the writing? And then after the last con again did you take anything back?

Shawn: The question being did I bring back to the table new reconnaissance from the con?

Richard: Yeah

Shawn: No. I didn’t need to tell them that, they knew. Sheila Hockins, a producer from Showtime would peruse the boards; they knew what was going on. They knew what the fandom was saying what they loved and what they hated and Ron and Dan quite frankly didn’t want to do it. They didn’t care, it was their show they had a particular kind of story they wanted to tell.

(I think Richard said they were god or something. Then laughter.)

Michael: Can I ask a question? What are these shirts everybody is wearing? (Looks At The HORS)

Shawn: These are the HORS.

Madam: It’s an internet community.

Shawn: House of the Rising Sun. Don’t Ask Me How I Know That!

Madam: We were the number one thread on the sho.boards for the last three years and we have several internet communities.

Richard: They are total Brian and Justin lovers and they are not happy with you.

Madam: There are lines out of our thread, it could be coincidental but the last line of QAF was something I had written in the opening of my thread during the season 3 hiatus and during all of season 4. The Gloria Gaynor line. It was amusing to see it end up in 513 of Queer As Folk.

Shawn: Ron and Dan claim they didn’t read the threads.

Madam: They read the threads. You have people who monitor them, we all know that. It was obvious.

Shawn: I don’t know. Season 5 my last episode was 7. I was still in the room contributing but I had no input into 12 and 13.

Madam: 507?

Shawn: 5 and 7

Madam: I didn’t mind 507; I wanted him to leave… He needed to leave.

Richard: I love this, I have no idea what you guys are talking about except that 507 was an episode but the fact that he wore a blue shirt and he walked out.

Madam: He needed to leave. He was wearing the white jacket.

Shawn: It’s a blur, what stands out for me when I think back to those episodes are critical lines that I wrote that I felt were strong that weren’t cut. Some of them obviously were cut.

Madam: It’s a year later now; you said that you identified with Justin more last year. I think you said at the last convention you feel he’s the character you identify more with is that still the case and why?

Shawn: I feel that because he was the youngest character on the show I was the youngest writer in the writing room. Very much similar to how he would then… to New York or whatever in Hollywood wherever I felt as when my agent called me up and said guess what this is happening I kind of felt like wow. Many of the things that happened you know, the very first episode I penned I think was the Ethan episode with the violin and he’s offered that deal and the emotion and the residence (?) what he was going through and what I was going through was quite striking personally and not so much the Justin character as the Justin age where I felt like certainly I was never a Babylon boy I’d never you know a lot of the stuff

Madam: Well I never thought Justin was a “Babylon Boy” either.

Shawn: Right, but the stuff that he engaged in, how old was he? He was 17 when he stood on the corner and watched the people come and go from Babylon. That was never me. I came out in a completely different way. I’ve evolved as a gay man in a really different way with my relationships…

Richard: You’re gay? *laughter*

Shawn: Yeah.

Richard: Oh my god. *laughter*

Shawn: So yeah. It was just the age group and what he was going through, thinking about career and his identity.

Richard: You’re looking at it more in an artistic form in that there were a lot of similarities between how you are typically and how he is and all of that. Whereas you’re looking at it in a different more figurative way as he’s a real person and Justin…

Madam: I know what I’m saying. You apparently just don’t get it. Did you find that maybe season 5 contradicted everything we had learned about the characters from season 1 to season 4? Cause I felt like in 4 we were seeing Gale’s character become more open for instance “I want to spend time with Gus, & the whole your drawers in my drawers comment” you know he’s making the move to spend more time, that maybe he can commit and love.”

Shawn: I don’t see it as a contradiction; I see it as wearing shoes that are the wrong size. I think Brian went a little too far in the direction of what he thought the world wanted him to be and realized it’s not working. And that’s how it made sense to me how I justified it to myself in the writing room. Because the impulse always and we’re culturally conditioned to think this way, the impulse is that two people have to fall in love and get together to live happily ever after.

Madam: Now we all know that doesn’t happen all the time.

Shawn: I know but it certainly doesn’t happen in real life.

Madam: Hmm, Right in some cases maybe not.

Shawn: But as soon as you fictionalize something and call it a story, you give it a beginning and an end and that ending doesn’t happen in real life, there is no end in real life except for when you die. You know today is going to stream into tomorrow and be punctuated by a whole bunch of really mundane events which are not television and which are not any kind of fiction and as soon as you say I’m putting an ending on this story you’re automatically calling forth a certain kind of expectation about what that ending is going to look like and that ending is culturally conditioned. So if you’re in western civilization we believe that these two people should live happily ever after and they very seldom do. So in the writing room I was constantly fighting with the notion of now wait a minute this is Brian and Justin don’t we want them to get together and then also trying to struggle with the notion of we want to do something intuiting and different and unconventional.

Richard: You almost had to have that sort of teeter totter where they’re together they’re apart in order to keep people intrigued.

Shawn: Right.

Richard: Or then all of a sudden they’re like Melanie and Lindsay and stop getting airtime you know what I mean? But you had to lead people in.

Shawn: Right.

Richard: Or it would become boring.

Shawn: Well yeah I think season 5 was five seasons is really pushing it in terms of storytelling we were struggling and I was not personally the whole bringing the political aspect of state politics I recognize it was state politics and as opposed to municipal politics this time around, but it was still politics you could tell that the storytelling was kind of going in circles. I would’ve liked if you want to tell a political story don’t worry about an election because the election is the tip of the iceberg. But you know.

Madam: Do you not feel that you might have left your lead character as the oldest most pathetic club boy known to man, you know the guy in the club wearing the polyester pants, the open silk shirt, the gold chains for the rest of his life? Because that’s sort of how I felt.

Shawn: Okay well, first of all

Madam: He’ll be the oldest guy in the club and that’s pathetic.

Shawn: Why is that pathetic?

Madam: Because it just is, do you like those kinds of guys? I mean that’s not who you hook up with when you’re out at a club is it?

Shawn: Well, but that’s not who I am. I’m not a club person in general. It’s only pathetic because we’ve been culturally conditioned under a certain cult of youth that says only young people are allowed to go to clubs and dance and have a good time. And Brian here is saying okay I’m getting older but this is still my world this is still where I want to be.

Richard: He was happy, he wasn’t miserable. I think at the end when he’s dancing, I don’t have a photographic memory, but I do think he was happy, he’d come full circle he’d tried all sorts of other things which didn’t work and he found out what worked.

Shawn: I think the difference is when you see an older person at a club who’s at a club purposely for lecherous reasons, that’s pretty pathetic. When you see an older person at a club who’s having a great time and dancing and they’re sixty years old and they’re on the floor and doing their thing you really admire that person and say way to go! And that’s certainly my opinion. And there’s certainly many boy toys out there who’d say oh my god but….

Madam: Well they brought in the new ranks with Brandon that’s his competition now. I don’t know I just thought wow, what a way to fuck up a character.

Shawn: What are you going to do? *laughter*

Unidentified Attendee: Did you ever get any crap from the character about your writing? Did they come in and say I’m not doing this, this is ridiculous?

Shawn: What they thought about the writing? I’m sure they probably hated some of the writing but at the same time you don’t bite the hand that feeds you right? Ron and Dan were feeding us all so they had, I think I went through this last year, they had a window of opportunity like an hour or so after the table read to approach Ron and Dan and say I’m concerned about this. Not like an hour probably more like a day 24 hours. I think if it got out of hand, if an actor was doing it constantly as punishment

Richard: They would be killed.

Shawn: No, they would be re-written and they would be re-written down they would get less lines and that is like death to an actor.

(There’s laughter and noise during which they started talking about killing off Vic.)

Madam: Speaking of “Regrets” You said that Cowlip didn’t like it that they wished they’d never had him (Justin) top Brian in season two.

Shawn: Because it created an inconsistency.

Madam: I have just 2 questions. There was an interview given by Randy in The Advocate and in that interview he said a few things about his character and then kind of almost verbatim the words he spoke in The Advocate article were spoken by his mother in season 5. Coincidence or what?

I mean you can almost put those answers right up against it. And then the other issue was about the Simon thing the art critic where his name is Simon and that was odd because Randy’s character actually called Simon (the art critic) a cunt and I was kind of freaked out and then later on Brian is reading the magazine and says “oh that Simon likes to use big words” or might not be verbatim and I’m thinking to myself Jesus the guys’ boyfriends name is Simon and he’s a writer! Was that a bitch slap or am I just crazy. So can you elaborate on that?

Shawn: I can’t speak for Ron and Dan but I think it’s fairly obvious there was animosity towards the end of the show and I think that was quite tragic because it came as a result of an equation in my opinion. Randy Harrison is a very quiet private person. Dan Lipman in particular is not. He’s a very outgoing guy says hi to everyone in the hallway he’s a very loving kind of guy. And I think early on not early on when I started when I was first brought onto the show I got a sense of noses being out of joint simple things like oh I said hello and no one said hi back

Madam: How professional is it to let your real life (personal life) into your professional one?

Shawn: I can’t comment on that but you know at the same time there’s a whole lot of ego involved. It’s all about people who put a great deal of personal stock and personal identity goes into it.

Richard: And it’s about money.

Shawn: Yes thank you it’s about money. And you know what this sounds cold and bitter but it’s about storytelling

Madam: We were thinking well was that a bitch slap or what the hell happened here?

Shawn: It wasn’t a bitch slap in the sense of hey world look at what we’re doing to Randy, but it was if anything it was a little tickle for Randy in a very covert way to say watch yourself but you know Hollywood has such a short memory like it will all blow over. And it will all be forgotten.

Madam: You think?

Richard: Are you kidding?

Shawn: But it’s true though in a sense though on one level you can go oh my god they did this they said that but then another

Madam: About that Advocate article it was like you said this about us and you said this about our character well we’re going to make you say that he wasn’t all that so that was kind of crappy.

Shawn: Well, it makes good copy right?

Madam: Yeah if say so.

Richard: I think that a movie or tv or like that article is supposed to tell it’s version of it whatever that may be and then it’s supposed to make you go and talk about it. If you’re not talking about it that you agree or disagree with it then it wasn’t poignant at all it didn’t create a sort of raucous within you but the controversy the fact that we have a room divided you know that fact that we have people that are agreeing and disagreeing that was what it was all about. It was a gay having a gay tv show makes somebody money while trying to educate people you know what I mean you’ve got to take it back into the generic that’s what it’s all about.

Shawn: I really have a sense that Randy and possibly Gale, you know I don’t really know these guys I’ve probably spoken to them like 5 times because we were so sequestered and so removed and were on different schedules so I don’t really know who I would imagine he walked away from the show feeling very bitter because of how he was portrayed on the show. Where his character went, all that stuff. Okay fine. I think you give him 10 years or even 20 years and ask him to look back on that and he’s going to say wow, I wouldn’t be surprised you give them 10 to 20 years, Ron and Dan will talk with Randy Harrison.

Грязные танцы

В кадре, за кадром и в сценарии. Всякое разное про 309, 108, 103 и 203
опять про то, как многого не замечаешь или просто не знаешь, глядя QAF, такого что имеет значение или могло иметь значение, но в ходе съемок это изменилось по той или иной причине, и что должно было получиться по сценарию, и что получилось в результате


про не замечаешь - я со своей недостаточной внимательностью, наверное, если б мне в свое время пальцем не ткнули, я бы так и не увидела, что Оранжевый, это новый голубой) буквально)



и вообще освещение в сценах играет гораздо большую роль, чем это понимаешь, когда смотришь... иногда это вероятно задумано, иногда может случайно выходит, но мне например очень нравится наблюдение про 108.. после того как Джастин сказал отцу, что никогда не вернется домой, и Брайан разрешил ему переночевать в лофте. Когда Джастин пробирается к Брайану в постель - голубые лампы не включены, (в то время как по всему лофту, и в том числе и в спальне другие лампы зажжены), и возможно это сразу настраивает нас, что это будет не сексуальная сцена, и говорит о том, что Джастин и Брайан, впервые вместе столкнувшись с проявлениями и проблемами реальной жизни, и друг друга может теперь видят по другому, не сквозь призму секса и желания. И может это должно подчеркнуть, что с этого момента их отношения переходят на какой-то другой уровень.

Про то, что задумано было в сценарии, но вышло иначе и о том, как это возможно повлияло даже на характеры героев на тот момент ...

про 103
оказывается, в сценарии была прописана одна сцена: после того, как в Вуди Брайан рассказывает историю из их с Майклом юности и Патрика Свейзи без рубашки, Джастин должен был вернуться домой и включив телевизор смотреть Грязные танцы) очень внимательно тот момент, где Свейзи танцует топлесс, (вот к чему оказывается Джастин в финальной сцене рубашку снимает!), и наблюдая за танцем запоминает движения)... Брайан рассказал по сути, что он считает hot и что его возбуждает, и Джастин собирался этим воспользоваться!
тем более, если вспомнить удаленный момент из этой сцены в Вавилоне - попытка вызвать ревность у Брайана по изначальному плану не должна была сработать, и Джастин должен был "заловить" его совсем на другое - на этот танец с голым торсом, аля Патрик Свейзи))

почему все пошло не так, я точно не знаю, может создателям самим захотелось сместить акцент (и кстати, а что там в британской версии с этим моментом? у меня ее под рукой нет и в памяти тоже нет)

или, вполне вероятно, что им просто не разрешили использовать в итоге материал "грязных танцев" из-за копирайторских заморочек, и в результате мы получили не то чтобы прям приревновавшего Брайана, но где-то близко... во всяком случае предъявившего право собственности) характер Брайана предстал уже другим, чем мог бы быть (в любом случае мне получившийся финальный вариант нравится больше))

про 203

И еще интересные моменты из 203... тоже кое-что, чего мы не увидели в итоге))

Брайан у Линдси и Мел, когда Линдси требует, чтобы Брайан явился на вечер, где его должны наградить, а Гас делает свои первые шаги

по сценарию, Брайан должен был сидеть на полу, поддерживать Гаса, помогая тому учиться ходить) и разговаривая с Линдси в какой-то момент обращается к Гасу, "Вот так, да, одну ногу вперед другой".. а потом, когда Линдси отпускает Брайана, он говорит Come to Daddy, Sonny-boy, и Гас подходит к отцу а тот сгребает его в объятья)
ну прямая отсылка к финальной сцене) слишком прямая, на мой взгляд, и тем более, что в этой же серии Брайана обвиняют, что он растлевает малолетних - наверное хотели избежать такой уж прям очевидной аналогии и напрашивающейся связи и вывода.. мне кажется у них получилось

кстати, там еще в этой серии, похоже по ходу съемок убирали несколько ревность Майкла к Джастину, от задуманного в сценарии, и возможно именно в результате этого мы не досчитались одного поцелуя))
после того, как в закусочной Брайан отвечает Джастину, "ну кому знать об этом лучше, чем тебе", он должен был поцеловать Джастина) и вот на это, на телячьи нежности Майкл по первоначальному плану закатывает глаза) а не просто на слова Брайана.
поцелуя жаль конечно, да, но мне очень нравится финальный вариант этой мизансцены, так что прощу им это варварство))

Ну и в завершении... обратно в 309, хитрости съемок)
коктельная трубочка! (неудобно минет изображать вообще ни с чем, с пустотой) ее может не очень хорошо видно на капсах, какие я могу сделать, но все-таки достаточно отчетливо) и совсем отчетливо при покадровом просмотре видео

I remember when season one ended and went into re-runs, they showed the second part of the pilot, aka, 102 as a separate episode. One thing I remember is Justin watching afternoon tv and seeing Dirty dancing, That way when Brian and Mikey talk about it Justin says "That's a really OLD movie:. And also some banter between Justin and Molly.

поняла вроде, внезапно наткнувшись на сцену на ДВД))
только щас сообразив, что на ДВД-то как раз 101 и 102 не слиты в пилот
и видимо видела я этот кусочек когда-то где-то, отсюда и было дежавю
вот вырезала, то что вспоминает этот человек (и действительно повторяли кстати первый сезон на шоутайм осенью 2001-зимой 2002 совсем точно месяцы не помню, но было, и значит тогда уже показали раздельно пилот)

почему мне казалось, что у меня ложные воспоминания видимо, что в допах на двд первого сезона которые как раз отчетливо в памяти, в не показанных сценах, которые нам представляет Хэл, окончание у этой сцены другое
тут Джастин спрашивает у Дженнифер с сарказмом "даже не поцелуешь на прощание"(в вышеприведенном варианте, с двд, кстати, этой реплики вообще нет)), и сцена заканчивается на этом, он не включает телевизор вообще))
вот, если кто не помнит как тут...



правда я так и не понимаю, а такой вариант выходил на каком-либо двд или на каком-нибудь канале или только в допах был?)

но в любом случае мы имеем три, нет, четыре по сути варианта, если не путаю))
прописанный в сценарии (где джастин конкретно смотрит сцену из грязных танцев с патриком свейзом танцующим топлесс)
вышедщий в повторе и на двд (где джастин собирается смотреть грязные танцы)
вышедший в эфир (где этой сцены нет вообще)
и тот, что в допах (где сцена есть, но нет никакого намека на грязные танцы)

я фигею дорогая редакция)

отчет sunshineandrage, у нее еще есть пара-тройка, но они вроде не такие интересные (а может я не все просто читала), но этот мне просто очень нравится)

кстати, я как-то восхищалась, как они угадывали по съемкам, что происходит... что-то они конечно угадывали, но вообще, у них у некоторых похоже просто сценарии были.. уж не знаю у скольких, и в каком объеме, но были.. насколько я понимаю (а понимаю я не очень точно всю картину), они просто не могли особо рассказывать, чего там, дабы не утрать допуск, только кусочками)) (и из-за этого на жж случались истерики и масштабные скандалы))...

Amy's adventures in QAFland

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the events of Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. I think if I had to describe it in two words, they would be "surreal" and "cold"! Let's see if I can start at the beginning and not skip anything.

We'd been planning this for a week, since we found out that QAF would be filming exterior stuff on Tuesday night. Chantal and Stacey's friend Donny picked me up around 5:00 pm in Kingston, and we headed out to Toronto. The trip was lots of fun, as we listened to a bunch of QAF music from the season 4 soundtrack and some of Chantal's mixed cds. Antonia and Stacey both got there before we did and were phoning to give us updates. I swear, my cell rang more times during that car ride than it has in six months! It made me feel very special. Then at one point when we were almost there, Stacey called and said "I have seen the face of God." Translation: Gale was there! When we were about 10 minutes away, the Republica song "Ready To Go" came on. That was rough. Chantal and I were having visions of Gale and Randy in their cute little black undies, combined with the knowledge that OMG-we're-10-minutes-away-from-Gale! We were like children pumped full of sugar on Christmas morning. I was shaking, and that was just in the car!

So we get to where we're going at around 7:30 and we pull into a parking lot. The attendant says we can park there, but adds "They're filming a movie" to explain why all the trailers were there. We're like, "Oh, really?" trying not to reveal our obsessed weirdo status. We go over to where they're filming, and we spot Antonia, Stacey and Lesley. Antonia comes over and hugs us, and whispers "Gale's in that black car to your left". Now, at that point, I was really having trouble figuring out left from right, so I was pretty much just looking around. Then I spotted him, and had a mini spaz. He was sitting in the back of a black town car, looking hotter in RL than on TV. *Melt*

So, um, yeah. Gale is beautiful. I'm not going to go into detail about most of the scenes, in part because I don't want to make this too spoilery for the virgins, and also because I've already whored the hell out of myself on the boards. There is one scene in particular that I must talk about, and also one character/actor, but I'll put an lj cut on those so true virgins don't have to read them. If anyone (ie Kevin) needs more details, email me.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming. They did the first scene about 50 bazillion times, and we watched for a while, but then we realized we were hungry, and went to the crepe place across from the ChumCity building. Yummy crepes! After that, we went back to the set and they were doing rehearsals for another scene. This was one of the scenes that made me pretty happy, in a perverse kind of way. I think they filmed that one about 90 bazillion times.

While they were filming this scene, Matt Battaglia (Drewsie) came over to talk to the fans who were gathered there watching. He is seriously the nicest guy in the world. He had been to the movie theatre around the corner, and was going to see Sideways, but realized that he might not be back on set in time, so he just bought the popcorn. He made a point of shaking each person's hand and making eye contact, as well as getting each of our names. I doubt he remembered them, but it's the thought that counts. He was there for a really long time, too. He chatted with us and told us stories about other actors in the Biz. Apparently Matt LeBlanc is a shithead. He also offered us his popcorn, and we passed it around (because who says no when they're offered Drewsie popcorn?) and Chantal ended up with it. She got him to autograph it, and she kept it, along with the rest of the popcorn that no one ate. Being the complete freak that I am, I took pictures of the popcorn.

They broke for "lunch" at 11 pm, and we decided to go to Zelda's for a drink. Lesley and her mom had already left, so it was just the five of us squished into Stacey's car, with Chantal driving. We had been teasing Donny about denying his inner gayness, so we decided it would be fun to take him there. Kevin called while we were in the car (we had called him earlier and left a message) so we got Donny to talk to him and let K play a little game of Gay or Nay. Kevin's verdict: raging homo! Zelda's was closing when we got there so we headed to Woody's and Chantal charmed the bartender into making us some Bitch Slaps. I don't know too many straight guys who go to Woody's and order a drink called a Bitch Slap. I'm just sayin'.

We got back (in one piece, but barely!) and they were still filming the above scene, so we just kind of hung out and chatted with various members of the crew, most of whom were really nice, but a few were being asswipes. They were on edge because of some Korean girls who had basically mobbed Gale (there were only three of them, so it was more like a mini-mob) when he first arrived on set. These girls were driving the security people nuts, and pissing Gale off. They apparently were taking pictures of him in the car, to the point where he put his hand up to shield himself. That's just disrespectful, and they pretty much ruined it for the rest of us. Gale didn't want pictures taken, and some of the crew members were really uptight, yelling at the fans when the only person who had a camera out was a crew member. On the whole, however, I thought the crew were pretty nice. Once they figured out that we're "normal", they treated us pretty well. One of them even went so far as to tell the guys who were just coming on shift that we were okay, and not to bother us. That was awesome!

Where was I? Oh, yes. Filming. It was really hard to see at times, there were a lot of vehicles and extras around and we couldn't get very close. Plus, the damn "epilepsy lights" kept blinding us. Anyway, all of the principle cast members were there at one point or another, but none of them came over to talk to us. That was understandable, though.

Stacey, Donny and Antonia left at 5:00 am because Stacey needed to be home when her son went to school and Antonia had to sleep before work. Chantal and I hung around watching the filming and chatting with crew members. Chantal was wearing mittens made of beaver fur, which were very popular with the freezing crew. Actually, they were popular with me too, because I didn't have the presence of mind to bring a hat or gloves. I know, I'm an idiot. Anyway, Chantal and I were chatting with two of the crew members around 6 am, one of whom was wearing a radio walkie-talkie thing. We heard this voice from the radio say "I've got Gale" and then, moments later, "Randy's here." Oh. My. God. Randy. We were standing near a monitor, and we could see both of them on the screen. We asked the crew guys if we could get closer (so we could actually see them) and they said sure.

Is there anything more beautiful than Gale and Randy together? I don't think so. Particularly when Gale is wearing a leather jacket. And Randy's hair looks so great! It's about the same length as it was at the beginning of season 3. Just gorgeous! Anyway, let's get to the point, shall we?

This episode is 510, after the Big Bang at Babylon. Brian and Justin spot each other, walk towards each other, and hug in what I've described several times as a thought-I'd-lost-you-never-going-to-let-you-go hug. It was just gorgeous. There was a little kissing and some dialogue which we couldn't hear, but mostly it was that hug. As Chantal pointed out, it was so intimate, even considering the things we've seen those two do! We could *feel* the energy from where we were standing. It was funny watching Gale and Randy's stand-ins do the scene, because they were doing this straight guy hug, which basically consisted of them trying to see how far apart their pelvises could be while they had their arms around each other.

That was the final scene, and they finally wrapped filming at about 7:15 or so. Chantal and I had been there for twelve hours, and we were tired and cold as fuck! We went back to Antonia's for a few hours of sleep, and to contact our professors. If my French prof asks, my dad was sick, and that's why I was in TO. Once we got up, we picked up Antonia at work and went to the crepe place again for lunch or dinner or whatever that meal was. Then we dropped her off and headed back to Kingston and Ottawa.

к недавнему разговору - Эйрелл, Yenn, нашла я эти скринеры) причем целиком, правда пока только в дерьмовом качестве в ужатом и звук фиговый, хотя они совершенно точно существуют во вполне приличном) но ладно

небольшой экскурс, в той мере в какой я знаю "предмет")) - скринер - предварительный вариант серии (именно скринеры перед прьемьерой выдавали прессе для ознакомления, написания статей и тд, и естественно они вскоре оказывались на ebay и на трекерах)
в частности точное содержание этих трех было в подробностях пересказано в фандоме еще в мае, а в июле, то есть до выхода в эфир их можно уже было скачать на трекерах, что многие и сделали
интересны они тем, что в окончательный вариант, тот который выходил в эфир, иногда вносились изменения, что и произошло с этими тремя сериями.
на скринере 511 в сцене БиДжи (когда Брайан делает предложение Джастину и в сексе у камина) звучал Sleep by The Dandy Worhals. Но Sleep хотели сохранить для 513, поэтому он был заменен на Mogwai - 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong, а скринерех Sleep в результате звучал и в 511 и в 513
вообще первый раз он прозвучал в 102, когда Брайан около своего подъезда говорит Джастину, что он не верит в любовь))
в итоге второй раз под эту песню они примеряют свадебные костюмы)

513 - прощальный секс БиДжи - на скринере это была Love Burns by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
ответственный за музыку Michael Perlmutter очень хотел ее для этой сцены, но в ней использован женский род, и Коулипы, поначалу оба, а потом вроде только один из них наотрез отказались. Обращались к авторам песни с просьбой переделать, те вроде то соглашались, то оказывались, и в результате у них так и не срослось, и песня была заменена на The Doves - Ambition
в фандоме, для тех кто скачал и посмотрел скринер или кто просто знал со слов других о том, какая будет музыка в этой сцене - выход ее с Ambition стал сюрпризом)) для многих неприятным, по тому варианту скучали и годы спустя, но благо имели взможность пересматривать скринер... впрочем другим нравился больше финальный вариант (как и мне, несмотря на то, что он более тоскливый и депрессивный, но...)

512 - открывающий серию секс - на скринере Ima Robot - Alive, в вышедшей серии - Eagles Of Death Metal - I Only Want You
(еще вроде в скринере 512 другая музыка в сцене, где Майкл и Брайан разговаривают в магазине комиксов, но руки не дошли проверить пока)

вообще есть где-то транскрипт с кона, на котором музыка обсуждалась, надо мне его еще раз внимательно почитать, хотя там принципиально что-то другое вряд ли, ну мож какие еще интересные подробности...

вот так... еще я так понимаю известны различия именно скринеров с тем что вышло в эфир в третьем сезоне
в конце 304, где Джастин возвращает браслет был Pnau - Follow Me
в конце 307 был Portishead - Sour Times
и конец 306 тоже был другой... но в третий сезон я не вдавалась, сами скринеры не видела и обсуждения не читала, в отличие от пятого, так что точно не знаю

ну и сами скринеры) точнее я вырезала нужные сцены и залила на ютуб, я могу залить куда-нить эти серии целиком, но смысла, особенно учитывая качество не вижу... впрочем, у нас есть шансы найти все-таки в нормальном качестве, и тогда можно будет и залить раритет такой))

511 скринер со "Sleep" (вот тут мне кажется очень прям заметно, что музыка "времянка" она и громче чем надо, по отношению к разговору и ваще)

но там кусок длинный и не мною вырезано, так что...


512 скринер с "Alive"- тут мне тоже больше однозначно нравится больше вариант вышедший в эфир

есть у меня кусочек этот 512 в качестве получше, но там в начале и в конце налеплены "левые" заставки уже фандомом, так что тоже выкладываю то, что сама вырезала
